Flat Plan for Digipak:

In order for us to get an idea of what our digipak is going to look like, we decided the best thing to do was to plan the layout and think of some ideas for it. In creating a flat plan, it makes the make of the digipak much simpler as the idea has already been thought of and its just a case of reproducing it in photoshop in the separate parts.

As you can see, it is divided into 4 sections being the front and back cover, the inside cover and the CD with two spines down the middle. Through our research of digipaks we decided that the front cover should have very little writing on it, just the name of the artist/band and the album title. It will also be focusing souly on the lead singer and not the other members of the band as he is the most prominent part of the music video itself. The back covers often have a list of songs included in the album and this will also be done in our digipak including a barcode and extra information. The CD will also have a list of the songs as we found out from our research. The other 2 band members will be present on the inside cover in a grid like layout which the Arctic Monkeys used in one of their inside covers.

We are aware that the small, minor details are what make a digipak look more professional and so we will ensure that similar fonts to Paolo Nutini's other albums are used aswell as taking ideas from other digipaks but making them our own. Research of digipaks was a key part in the deisgn of our digipak and we hope to implement as many ideas as possible from our plan in the making of our own media product.
