Our teacher told us that we really needed to show off our skills and show how much we had developed from as to a2, therefore we reviewed all the skills we had developed in as and noticed that using a green screen was not one of them. A green screeen is a great way of making your videos personal and adding an extra touch to your work. It allows you to be involed in the viedos, therefore adding more of an effect then just a voice over would. From this we decided green screening would be a great skill to develop.

Firstly we set up the green screen. It is simply a green piece of matte materials. This is so that no light can shine of or reflect runing the effect. We set up our piece of material, ensuring it was streched out to all edges, making it easy to key in post production. We then set up the camera and filmed James casting the weather forecast.

Once we had all of our filming recorded, we started work on the computer. We decided to create our video in Premire Pro CS6. We felt this was the programme we knew least about so wanted to start and devlop our skills for when we make our music video. Hopefully this would mean we have more knowledge, making the production stages alot easier. Firstly we imported all the clips we needed into Premire Pro so they where ready to use. We then started playing around and editing our clips to the specific lengths we needed them.

Next we had to actually use our green screen clips. We decided to use the ultra key tool. We selected the main colour we wanted to replace and used black as our replacment colour, this made it easy to work with. We then dragged our downloaded weather forecast into another video layer, ensuring it was beneath our initial video layer.

Firstly we had to resize both videos, using the scale tool to make both videos fit together and look as if they were from the same footage. We then used video transisitions such as cross dissolve and dip to black to ensure that the videos flowed seamlessly. We then muted our weather forecast video so we did not have the pvice ver from te women presenter. We then synced up all of our clips both audio and video.
